Ram is recalling approximately 30,000 Ram 1500 trucks due to a stability control defect that could raise the risk of accidents, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced.
The recall impacts around 33,777 trucks produced between October 13, 2023, and August 11, 2024, though Ram estimates only 1% are affected.
The Ram recall stems from a damaged speed wheel sensor, which can disable the truck’s Electronic Stability Control system, increasing accident risk. The automaker plans to notify dealers and will send recall letters to affected owners by mid-December. Dealers will inspect and replace damaged bearing rings at no cost.
Owners who have already addressed the issue can request reimbursement from Ram with proof of repair costs. For drivers seeking trusted repair options, Collision Connect offers a network of vetted auto body shops across California to ensure reliable service.
