
California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in San Benito County that resulted in the death of 18-year-old Jolie Ochoa.
The accident occurred around 5:03 p.m. while the vehicle was traveling east on San Justo Road, east of San Juan Highway. The car lost control, crossed into opposing lanes, and overturned in a dirt field.
Ochoa, who was a front passenger, was killed in the crash. The driver and left-rear passenger were flown to a hospital with suspected serious injuries.
Jolie Ochoa, a first-year student at California State University, Monterey Bay, was remembered by the university, which offered counseling and support to those affected. CHP has not yet determined if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash in San Benito County.
