Jaguar Land Rover North America has issued a recall for approximately 2,760 of its 2019 Jaguar I-PACE vehicles due to a potential risk of the high-voltage battery overheating, which could lead to a fire.
Owners are advised to park and charge their vehicles outside and away from structures until the recall repair is completed and for 30 days afterward. As an interim solution, dealers will update the battery energy control module software at no cost. The final remedy is still under development.
Jaguar plans to mail owner notification letters by October 18, 2024. For assistance, owners can contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827, referencing recall number H514. This recall follows previous recalls related to the same issue, and affected vehicles will need the new remedy applied.
