
GE Appliances, a Haier Company, is recalling close to 5,000 recreational vehicle air conditioners due to a potential fire hazard linked to a faulty soft start device. The affected device, part number ICM870-16A-BH5400, may fail and overheat, significantly increasing the risk of a fire.
The company is still developing a remedy for the issue, and owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by October 11, 2024.
