General Motors (GM) has issued a recall for approximately 2,890 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV vehicles due to a malfunction with the adaptive cruise control system.

The problem arises from incorrect brake module software, which may prevent the system from engaging the brakes as expected, increasing the risk of a crash.

This Chevrolet Equinox EV recall affects certain all-wheel-drive units. GM will provide a free software update to correct the issue.
